Uvalde EMS, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides 911 emergency care services to the citizens of Uvalde County and Zavala County as well as mutual aid to surrounding agencies. In addition, we also provide emergency and non-emergency transports for Uvalde Memorial Hospital and surrounding facilities.
Over the years, Uvalde EMS has grown from an all volunteer service responding to approximately 100 requests per month and using one ambulance; to today staffing four full-time ambulances with a 24/7, 365 day-a-year paid staff responding to an average of 6,000 requests annually. All ambulances are staffed with highly trained EMT’s, Advanced EMT’s and paramedics.
